NEW! Coastal Sunset 2012

Coastal Sunset is always a popular series, and this year’s Australian selections are hard to beat:

RED: Shiraz / Viognier – This innovative wine is a vibrant and fruit forward blend that produces aromas of cherry, orange blossom, and honey. The Shiraz is the backbone of this wine, while the Viognier adds a softness that makes this blend very approachable. This is a wine that is spicy and alive, with luscious ripe blackberry and plum flavours on the palate.

WHITE: Sauvignon Blanc / Semillon – This crisp, refreshing wine has an intense nose of passionfruit, peach, and lime layered with a pleasant grassiness. You’ll find flavours of grapefruit, lemongrass and snow pea on the palate, balanced by just the right level of firm acidity to finish. Pale straw in colour with hints of emerald green, this is a great wine for everyday sipping.

Italian Nebbiolo: The name Nebbiolo derives from Nebbia, translating to fog because of the velvety, whitish coating covering the berries. This dark and tannic red produces aromas of truffle, blackberries, cherries and smoke. Flavours of earth, oak, vanilla and cedar fill the palate leaving a long and rich finish in the mouth.

Austrian Grüner Veltliner: This is a complex wine full of exotic tropical fruit flavours and citrus notes. Traditionally consumed young, this Grüner is crisp, dry and full bodied on the palate with flavours of grapefruit and lentils. Aromas of white pepper, green beans and notes of asparagus on the nose.

South African Pinotage: Pinotage is a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsaut and is the second most widely produced grape in South Africa. Bursting with flavours of cherry, red berries, tropical fruit and hints of banana, this red is unique and easy drinking. Aromas of plums, red berries, smoke and earth surround the senses of this red.
